Public beach access and hotel services
A beach transfer does not automatically give you use of a resort. If pools, loungers, showers or meals are essential, request a named venue and written confirmation of its current day-pass terms. For a simple beach visit, establish how the entrance is reached and where transport will collect you.
A relaxed day still needs a plan
Decide how much time you want in the sun and what shade is available. Ask about food, drinking water and toilets before choosing a remote stretch of sand. Families may prefer a shorter outing with predictable facilities, while mixed-ability groups should discuss the distance from vehicle to seating.
Ocean conditions and return arrangements
The north coast faces the Atlantic. Check local swimming advice rather than treating “beach day” as a guarantee of calm water. Keep a clear return time and a reliable contact method. Cruise passengers should preserve a buffer for getting through the terminal and back to the ship.
Public beach access does not include resort services
For Playa Dorada, identify the beach entrance and the facilities you actually need. Loungers, pools, food and hotel day passes are separate services. If shade and toilets are essential, confirm them before departure rather than treating a beach transfer as an all-inclusive day.
